What does pickapeppa sauce taste like?
The sauce is sweet, sour and mildly spicy. The company makes several variants of the sauce, including mango and extra hot Scotch Bonnet pepper varieties. One traditional use of the sauce is to pour it over a block of cream cheese, to be spread on crackers.
Does pickapeppa sauce go bad?
It doesn't have to be refrigerated after opening. Once a bottle of sauce is opened, the color may change, but the product won't spoil.
What is pickapeppa sauce used for?
It makes regular appearances in marinades for steaks, barbecue sauces for ribs, and as a topping for burgers (Pickapeppa is known as the Jamaican A1, of course).

1 answered questionQ: I have not been able to find original Pickapeppa in any store in many months. Is this being discontinued?
A: Original Pickapeppa Sauce has not been discontinued. Two hurricanes in Jamaica damaged crops and the production facility, which caused an extended interruption in supply. Shipments have resumed, but inventory remains limited and may sell out quickly because so many customers have been waiting for it. Pickapeppa has also lost shelf space in several large grocery chains during the shortage, so local store availability may remain limited. More of the U.S. distribution is expected to occur online as supplies are replenished. Please select “Notify Me” on the product page to receive an email when the 5 oz bottles are available again.
